Leonard Lucas specializes in the areas of Criminal Defense, Federal Contracting and Construction law.

Early on, Leonard Lucas was drawn to the practice of law and the ability of attorneys to counsel, protect, and balance the odds against their clients. He is a veteran litigator with more than two decades of experience. Following his graduation from the University of Tennessee School of Law, Leonard moved to Memphis and served as a law clerk for the Shelby County District Attorney's office.

After passing the Tennessee bar exam, Leonard began his legal career, in Memphis, working for a regional insurance defense law firm, and later represented owners, general contractors, and subcontractors at a construction law boutique in Memphis. During his time in Memphis, he would also serve as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee.

Leonard moved to Washington, DC where he worked as a criminal defense and litigation attorney before accepting a position as an Assistant General Counsel at the United States General Services Administration, representing GSA in federal contracts disputes for more than a decade. The last 3 years Leonard worked in the corporate legal department of a billion dollar company. With the ability to see issues from multiple views, gained from decades of litigation experience, Leonard is able to effectively analyze and prepare strategies to counsel, protect, and most importantly balance the odds against his clients.
